Kalavati Music Academy

Kalyan Bandyopadhyay - From early boy hood, habitated to perform any type of song fluently in presense
of others was originated from our family tradition. While reading in class VI, regular teaching was obtained.Learning 'Tabla' was started from my elder brother Subhendu at 10 years age. At that time, different 'Tal', 'Bole'was learnt.

My late father, Sisir Banerjee and mother Kamala Devi's earnest wish and blessing helped me to accept music career.

Thgough my father expired, but my mother's co-ordination is still continued.

My first 'Guru', Sri Sujit Mazumdar. Then for 'Rag Sangeet' respeted Nishakar Mallick. After Madhyamic I went to Calcutta for being trained in 'Bangla Adhunik' from Chandidas Basu.
Then I got chance to learn 'Hindusthani Margo Sangeet' and different light classical music from 'Guru' Gyan Prakash Ghosh for long fourteen years.

During this period, I learnt 'Puratani' and Nazrul Geet from respected Biman Mukherjee.

In the mean time, being gratuated, I admitted in Rabindra Bharati University for post graduate course in music and in that connection, I came in contact with several renowned persons like Sri Arun Bhattacharjee in 'Drupad' and 'Kheyal' from Dr. Amiya Ranjan Banerjee seperately for five years.

I completed master degree, M.A. in music(1st class), R.B.U.(Vocal and Kheyal). I joined I.T.C. Sangeet Resarch academy as general scholar, under respected Arun Bhaduri for four years.

Incidentally, I was appointed as music teacher in Hari Save Hindu Girl's School at Burdwan. From this time I devoted spreading and enriching Sangeet - not only in this town and district but also beyond and not know - how long way will have to be covered and when.
 
Subhendu Banerjee - Graduated from Burdwan University and got M. Music from Allahabad in Tabla. 
During long thirty five years, he came in contact with several 'Guru' namely Sri Debu Choudhury, Gyan Prokash Ghosh, Samar Saha and in professional life now engaged with Padmaja Naidu College of Music and Burdwan Municipal Girl's High School.
